djoon rocks sicily! (once again)

The fourth edition of ‘The Djoon Experience Festival’ is ready to open the summer season of the Egadi Islands, Sicily. The exclusive event, dedicated to house music, disco, afro, funky and soulful, will be held in Favignana from the 31st of May to the 4th of June 2018.

Against every form of racism and social intolerance, the festival, this year, raises a strong message of equality spread on the notes of house music. For the fourth year, Favignana allows artists and people from different cultures to stay together, against the diversity, in a natural scenario characterized by multicultural relationships, freedom and equality.

Organized by the Sicilian entertainment company ‘Making Partners’ in partnership with the prestigious parisian brand ‘Djoon Club’, the event is now a consolidated appointment for the main artists of the house music scene worldwide and is today able to call thousands of festival-goers thanks to the beauty of the island. In Favignana holiday and fun are combined with environmental sustainability and, in agreement with the largest marine protected area in Europe, recyclable products will be used for a plastic free festival.

2018 line up sees some of the most famous international DJs, such as Djeff Afrozila from Portugal, Terrence Parker & Merachka and Jamie 3:26 from the United States, playing during different moments of the festival: boat parties, sunset parties, night parties and DJ sets in the heart of the town. A big news of this year’s edition will be the live performance of artists, such as the japanese DJ Kuniyuki Takahashi, a creator of live digital electronic music.

Good results have been reached in the past editions in terms of territorial promotion, tourist attendance and off – seasonal tourism offer. This outcome helped the event to become a musical and cultural Melting Polt in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea; a laboratory of internationalization with young people.

‘The Djoon Experience Favignana’ wants to preserve the multicultural heritage of Sicily as an historical example of successful integration of people and ethnic groups; and make Favignana a virtuous proof of tolerance and respect of diversity.
