Stomping out like Godzilla in the rave, the latest effort from Kachina is a UKG/house monster – as per usual.
The devastatingly prolific Leicester trio have almost got a monopoly over NexGen Music offshoot Affectionate Grooves, and the highly-anticipated ‘Ayahuasca’ EP delivers on all fronts. Kicking off with the suitably tribal festival-classic-in-the-making ‘Maasai Mara’ and cruising on to the spacey UKG of the title track, the record sees the producers flexing their considerable studio muscle – it’s no wonder Kachina have had airplay from the likes of Toddla T, Annie Nightingale and Radio 1’s DJ Monki and features across Mixmag, DJ Mag and others.
