A Stockholm basement may not be the obvious place for a respected drum & bass label to have its roots, but Seba’s Secret Operations imprint sprang from the Swedish shadows 15 years ago and hasn’t looked back since.
Starting life in 1997 as a drum & bass night, Secret Operations became a label in 2002, and over the 15 years since making the transition has become a mainstay of the scene.
Most of the label’s releases have come from Seba himself, who made full use of the platform he built to put out his perfectly-poised tracks, but other artists have found themselves featured, including Lenk, Resound and Krazy. This applies to the 18-track compilation too, where Seba’s tracks dominate but are interspersed with others – Andy Skopes, amongst others, makes an appearance.
